Stars to thank military Memorial Day

Jennifer lopez, Justin Timberlake and Rihanna are among the stars who paid tribute to members of the United States's military as Americans celebrate Memorial Day on Monday.

A host of celebrities have taken their Twitter.com Blogs remembering servicemen and women in war and to express its thanks to the soldiers currently serving in the armed forces.

Rapper Wyclef Jean was one of the first stars to mark the holiday by posting a self-penned "Sunday sermon" online this weekend, but he is not the only one who send their blessings to them in uniform.

POP superstar Timberlake has urged fans to take a moment to pay their respects, writes, "all please thank veterans, active personnel and their families this wknd (weekend) for the sacrifices they have made to us. I am very grateful! "while Lopez also called on her Twitter followers to do the same thing:" Let us take a moment to send love to all the service men and women in the world!!!! "

Rihanna writes, "Happy Memorial Day! # Bowl troops!!! And to their wonderful families! You are in the midst of this Nation and we love you so much! "and transformers star Josh Duhamel States: "to the brave souls and families who have sacrificed so much to serve our nation: no words can express my deep gratitude."

Iron Man Director Jon Favreau, designer Nicky Hilton and Diane von Furstenberg, Brothers & Sisters actor Gilles Marini has also posted tributes online.

And new married singer/actress LeAnn Rimes has taken time out of their honeymoon in Mexico with husband Eddie Cibrian selecting the poignant moments.

She adds, "to all the soldiers who have fallen for our country, Eddie and I will never forget the ultimate sacrifice you made for our country. All families who have lost their loved one's (sic), our hearts go out to you this Memorial Day and always. God bless you all! "
