Rihanna s & M "atmosphere that heading to trial

Rihanna Rihanna's legal battle with David LaChapelle her S & M music video is on his way to trial after a judge in New York, the famous photographer permission to pursue his case against the singer.
Celebrity snapper sued the star earlier this year over allegations that her controversial promo, which was banned in 11 countries worldwide, "directly derived" from some of his images.
The case went to court in New York and in a judgment released Thursday, U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin noted alleged similarities between music video and Lachapelles work and paved the way for the trial to go to trial.

Judge Scheindlin dismissed Lachapelles claims trademark symbol infringement, unfair competition and unjust enrichment, but allowed him to pursue his claim on copyright violation.

A Conference of the parties is scheduled for the 10th August.

Katy Perry scores nine MTV VMA nominations

Britney Spears will the girl to look at next month's MTV Video Music Awards after landing nine nominations to become the leading lady for peers as Adele, Lady Gaga and Beyonc?.

California Gurls singer picked up nods in most of the ceremonins largest categories where the categories presented on Wednesday. She is for Best Pop Video, Best Collaboration, best direction and Video of the Year for his explosive Firework-promo.

British sensation Adele is close on her heels with seven nominations. She'll also compete for Video of the Year. Matching Adeles seven bywords are Kanye West, who's who is for awards, including Best Hip-Hop Video and best male Video. He has also two shots on the Best Collaboration award for her duets with Rihanna on candles and Katy Perry's E.T.

Gaga, who stole the show at last year's award show by turning up in the infamous meat dress, is now up to three trophies-the same amount as Beyonce. Gaga and Beyonce will fight in both the best female Video and best choreography category, while they have also received nods for best art direction and Best Cinematography, respectively. Rapper Nicki Minaj wants also a newcomer to a trio of awards.

Eminem is another most important man on the list of nominations, he will fight three Moonmen trophies-best male Video, best direction and best cinematography-for their cooperation, Love The way Rihanna you lies. Bruno Mars has four nominations, including Video of the year, Best Pop Video and best male Video for grenade.

The second fight for the venerable video of the Year price includes Beastie Boys (make Some Noise) and Tyler, The Creator (Yonkers).

The ceremony takes place in New York on the 28th August.
