Justin bieber and Eminem were the big winners at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night gave 14 awards between them.
Teenager Bieber impressive haul of eight included trophies for the Fan favorite, Digital Artist, New Artist, Digital Media Artist and Pop Album (My World 2.0), but the rap icon Eminem landed the biggest awards night-among them Artist of the Year, male performer of the year and Rap Album (recycling) and Rap Song (I love the way you are).
Bieber, wearing a jacket in shimmering gold and black dinner, did not make a big deal of his date for the evening-Selena Gomez-so he accepted their awards, thanking his mother, who was sitting next to his girlfriend, but not the Disney star.
Taylor Swift won the night's first award for Album Artist of the Year and went on to claim two more. The other three winners were Taio Cruz, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and acclaimed British folk music act Mumford & sons, picked up Rock Album of the Year award. Double winners with Katy Perry, trains and Usher.
It was a big night for performances,-Millennium Award winners Beyonc? and Viral innovator Cee Lo Green's sets were among the highlights. Feisty Beyonce sang new song Run The World (girls) with a synchronized light and an army of female dancers. Green played a medley of hits while spinning in the air above the stage, sitting at a floating piano.
Rihanna, Britney Spears opened the show from the MGM Grand with sexy S & M Duet, while the Black Eyed Peas performed also hits during an energetic five minutes laid.
