"Songs for Japan" raises $ 5 million for the earthquake and Tsunami Relief

RihannaLady Gaga, Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Rihanna have helped to raise $ 5 million of Japan's earthquake/tsunami relief effort through the issuance of a charity compilation.
Pop stars were among a host of artists who offered up their hits for inclusion on "songs for Japan," a digital-exclusive collection, with all profits going towards the Japanese Red Cross relief appeal.
The project, which also contains songs by Bon Jovi, Shakira, Foo Fighters and Adele, has proved a great success and Reuters reports that organizers handed over a check for $ 2 million last month and another 3 million USD was donated on Monday.
