Rihanna's powerful new promo for "the man Down" has come under attack by activists at a TELEVISED parents group for graphically depicting the murder of a rapist.
Producer, who was brutally beaten in 2009 by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown, premiered the shocking video on cable network bet on Tuesday.
In the promo shoot the singer a man at a train station. A series of flashback images show since her grappling with him outside a nightclub as he tries to attack her.
Rihanna took to Twitter after the premiere to address "underlying message" in the video, warning young female fans to be safe and be careful not predatory men.
But the singer's actions in promo has infuriated parents Television Council members-they claim Rihanna setting a bad example by purporting to show that a "cold, calculated conduct of murder" is an acceptable form of Justice, according to TMZ.com.
And PTC fighters insist she should be reprimanded for violent video.
PTC representatives adds "If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and games premiered the world would end. Rihanna should not get a passport ".
It was the second time in 10 days, Rihanna has been criticised by the PTC members-her risque performance with Britney Spears on the Billboard Music Awards also attracted controversy, with CEO Tim Winter branding their raunchy rendition of the Rihanna hit S & M a "profanity laced sex show."
